- The Byron OOO Aurora is a full-custom OOO acoustic guitar created for players who want articulate response, refined playability, and distinctive boutique craftsmanship. Combining a solid German spruce top with solid black walnut back and sides, a sculpted cutaway, and premium custom appointments, the Aurora delivers a balanced acoustic voice with exceptional clarity and a fast, responsive feel.
- The sharp-corner OOO body provides excellent tonal balance and note separation, making the guitar particularly well suited to fingerstyle, articulate flatpicking, folk, and contemporary acoustic playing. Its clean single-cutaway design also provides convenient access to the upper frets without losing the compact, comfortable character associated with the OOO body shape.
- A solid German spruce top forms the tonal foundation of the guitar. Known for its clarity, responsiveness, and strong projection, German spruce responds quickly to nuanced playing while retaining excellent definition when played with greater intensity. Solid black walnut back and sides add warmth, depth, and smooth resonance, creating a distinctive tonal combination that sits between the clarity of spruce and the rich character of darker tonewoods.
- The Aurora uses a V-type thin sound-bar bracing pattern designed to encourage quick tonal attack and controlled sustain. This construction contributes to the guitar's articulate response, allowing individual notes to remain clearly defined while maintaining a rich and musical acoustic character.
- The one-piece AAA tiger-flame maple neck features a tapered dovetail joint for structural stability and efficient resonance transfer. A compensated 72 × 10 × 2.9mm lower saddle, combined with a bone nut and saddle, helps optimize intonation, sustain, and tonal clarity.
- Visually, the guitar features a full matte natural finish that allows the wood grain to remain prominent. The neck color is matched to the back for a cohesive appearance, while high-end multi-color abalone binding extends across the headstock, fingerboard, top, back, and sides. Custom inlays and a distinctive fingerboard pattern further emphasize its one-of-a-kind Custom Shop character.
